Yep, I already have one in my gallery but I had to do this again, I really hated the first version and couldn't be happy if I didn't improve the "detail factor"
In case you're wondering here it is [link]
I used to be a bit self conscious about that but now comparing the two of them gives me a good feeling
The 5 cent coin refers to the picture in the right in case it's not clear
I decided to display different views of it and a bigger picture for you to see the details....because they truly required a lot of time.
You can find different Gryffindor Sword online, the most common is usually a version in which the low relief is minimal and the subjects represented are simplified.
I happened to find a picture of the actual movie version, and it was so awesome I had to do that one.
What's represented: In the top part of the hilt there's a tiny wizard holding a scroll - yep, that was one of those cases in which even needles were too big to work with!
Moving down to the middle you can find what presumably is a gryffin and down low, almost on the blade, there's a unicorn head. I worked on both sides of it, so I had to make each of them twice
Am I the only one who's going crazy with the coolness of what they did with something that's always supposed to stay under a character's fist?
What I used: polymer clay. The rubins are made of glitterglue.Yeah, the one they give you as a child and you find after ten years at the bottom of a drawer
It works surprisingly well!
